Celebs want to Posh it up at the Oscars 2012

With this year’s Oscars less than three weeks away, Hollywood’s elite are starting to finalise their red carpet choices, with one designer reportedly top of their wish list: Victoria Beckham.

It’s understood that the pop star-turned-fashion designer has been bombarded with requests from actresses desperate to wear one of her chic designs at the glitzy Academy Awards ceremony at the end of February.

And in another clear sign as to how far the former Spice Girl’s fashion credibility has risen, the actresses in question are all A-list Hollywood stars, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron and Cameron Diaz among those who are believed to have contacted Victoria about wearing one of her dresses.

According to a source, Mrs B has been working around the clock in the run-up to the Oscars to meet demand, as she also puts the finishing touches to her autumn/winter 2012 collection, which will show during New York Fashion Week on Sunday, and tends to six-month-old daughter, Harper Seven.

They told the Daily Mirror: 'Victoria's been working day and night to keep up with demand.'

The British star has already seen the likes of Eva Longoria, Demi Moore and Gisele Bundhchen wearing her dresses at public events, with style icon Michelle Williams recently wearing not one, but two creations from the designer's new Victoria, Victoria Beckham sister label as the awards season hots up.

Recientemente, la ex Spice Girl aseguró que sus vestidos no siguen las corrientes de la moda, sino que se basan en aquello que le hace sentir cómoda, según publica bangshowbiz.com.

“Cuando comencé todo tenía que ver con los vestidos encorsetados. Así me asociaba la gente y, siendo sincera, creo que era un reflejo de mis propias inseguridades. Ahora que me voy haciendo más mayor, me siento bien con mi cuerpo y me doy cuenta de que no siempre se necesita llevar algo ajustado para lucir y sentirse genial”, declaró.

“Yo no sigo modas, solo mis propios instintos. Pienso: ‘¿Qué es lo que yo llevaría? ¿Qué me apetece para la próxima temporada?’”, aseguró Victoria.
